COROMANDEL TENNIS CLUB.
FAREWELL TO MR AND MRS PENLINGTON. On Saturday afternoon last, the Coromandel Tennis Club bade farewell to Mr and Mrs Penlington. Mr H. A. Purser, president of the club, on behalf of the members, wished Mr and Mrs Penlington good luck for the future, and thanked Mr Penlington for the excellent work he had done in the laying-down of the new courts. Mr Purser expressed the regret of all at losing Mr and Mrs Penlington from the club, and said they would be very sadly missed.
Mr Penlington, on behalf of himself and his wife, thanked Mr Purser for the good wishes he had expressed, and said that both he and Mrs Penlington were very sorry to be leaving. He continued by saying that the foundation of two very good courts had been laid, but the work was not nearly finished. In conclusion, he hoped that the clue would stick together and continue with the work. Mr and Mrs Penlington were life honorary members of the club.
