PRICES EASIER. (By Telegraph—Own Correspondent) AUCKLAND, Nov. 4 The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report that at Westfield to-day beef was penned in more than average numbers. Although the demand was steady values were easier, from Is to 2s per 1001 b. Extra choice ox sold to 28s per 1001 b; choice and prime, 25s to 275; secondary and plain, 21s to 245; prime young cow and heifer beef, 23s to 265; secondary, 15s to' 225; extra heavy prime steers ranged in price from £lO to £lO 15s; heavy, £9 to £9 17s 6d; lighter, £8 to £8 15s 6d; light, £7 to £7 17s 6d; small and unfinished, £6 to £6 17s 6d; extra heavy prime young cows and heifers, £7 to £7 15s; heavy, £6 to £6 15s; lighter, £5 10s to £5 15s 6d; light, £4 to £4 17s 6d; others, £2 IDs to £3 15s.
Messrs A. Buckland and Sons, Ltd., penned 249 head of fat cattlo (181 steers and 63 cows and heifers), as compared with 263 last week. No extra heavy steers wero yarded.
