“SCOTLAND YARD.”
AT REGENT TO-NIGHT,
Lumsden Hare, who portrays the role of “Sir Clive Heathcote,” inspector, from 'Scotland Yard, in the ■Fox Movietone attraction at the ■Regent Theatre to-night, ■“Scotland Yard,” directed by William K. Howard and featuring Edmund Lowo and Joan Bennett, has directed more than a score of New York stage successes during his thirty years in the profession. “Mr Hare’s directorial experience is of invaluable aid to me,” Director (Howard remarked during the production of the picture, “especially regarding* technical details concerning the workings of detectives from Scotland Yard.” This praise from Hofward was more than just a courteous gesture, for he asked Mr Hare’s opinion any number of times during rehearsals. Not only did he receive sound dramatic counsel, he found that Lumsden had read and studied all he could find written on the absorbing subject of Scotland Yiird, and was therefore well versed in facts relating to the operations of his world-famed body of crime-hunters. “Scotland Yard” was adapted by Garrett Fort from Denison Clift’s famous stage success of the same name. >
