HIKUTAIA SALE. The Farmers' Co-op. Auctioneering Co., Ltd. report:— At Hikutaia Sale on Wednesday we penned an average yarding of cattle and pigs. There was a fair demand for forward springing heifers, late rates being maintained on all other classes. Quotations: — Pigs.—Good store pigs, £l/4/6 to £l/10/-; slips, 19/- to £l/2/-; weaners, 15/- to 17/-. Dairy Cattle.—Heifers, well forward, £7/10/- to £7/17/6; more backward sorts, £5/15/-; Jersey' cows, £5/15/- to £7; poorer sorts, £3 to £4/10/-. Sheep. Light fat. two-tooths, 10/9. Beef. —Fat cows, heavy, £5/11/to £7/6/-; fat cows, medium, £3/15/- to £4/11/-; fat cows, light, £2/10/- to £3/4/-; forward conditioned cows, £2 to £2/5/-; store cows,-£l/10/- to £l/12/-; boners, 15/- to 22/-.
