“THE MAN FROM BLANKLEY’S.”

OPENS AT KINO'S TO-NIGHT. REAL CLEVER COMEDY. There may have been as amusing scenes in motion pictures as the Tidmarsh dinner in "The Man From Blankleys," which opens to-night at the King's Theatre,- Jmt it is doubtful. "The Man From Blankley's" is not surface fun. Its clever comedy is deeply human, plausible and unrestrained. Warner Bros, present John Barrymore in an entirely new characterisation, u gallivanting lord who accidently enters the wrong house. It is not his first comedy, but it is his first talking picture comedy. There was a time when the name of "Jack" Barrymore was connected with stage comedy by the public. Perhaps the day is at hand when the more dignified John Barrymore will be as equally famous for his screen farces as for his romantic period productions. Alfred E. Green directed Mr Barrymore, and a notable supporting cast, which includes Loretta Young, William Austin, Albert Green, Emily Fitzroy. Dick Henderson, Edgar Norton and many 'others. "The Man From Blankley's" is an adaptation of F. Anstey's London stage success i» which the title role was played by Sir Charles Haw trey.
