TAURANGA VISIT.
THAMES TEAMS DEFEATED. VICTORY FOR TAURANGA. The Thames rep. Rugby team was defeated in a return match against the Tauranga reps, on Saturday, at Tauranga, by 14 points to 9. The Thames team had the better of the game territorially, and were unlucky in not scoring more points. The pack played well and dominated play for the bulk of the game. The first Thafnes score came from a forward movement, and the second when Edwards cut in and beat the opposing backs. Dufty added the third three points with a fine penalty goal.
