OBITUARY.

MRS. R. J. SUDDON. (By Telegraph—Press Association.; WELLINGTON, July 9 The death is reported of Mrs Seddon, wife .of the late Rt. Hon. R. JSeddon. (Mrs Louisa Jane Seddon was born in Victoria in 1851, being the daughter of Captain John Stuart Spotswood, land and shipowner, of Williamstown. She was a granddaughter on the maternal side of Major-General Waddington, one time Governor of Bombay. She married in 1869 Richard John Seddon, afterwards Prime Minister of New Zealand. There were three sons and six daughters. The late Mrs Seddon always took an activ part in church and benevolent movements. Her eldest son, Captain R. J. S. Seddon, N.Z.S.C, served in the South African and the Great Wars, and was killed in August, 1918).
