VERDICT AT INQUEST.

DUNEDIN, Oct. 31

At the inquest on James Riley, aged 60, a married man, whose body was found on the rocks at St. Clair Beach on Sunday morning, the coroner remarked that the deceased apparently slipped and fell on the rough stony beach and was disabled, and thereupon drowned.

A verdict of found drowned was returned.
