The Egmont Club, Stratford, is to go into voluntary liquidation. This was decided at a special meeting held last week, when a resolution to this effect passed at a previous meeting was confirmed.
*The job of the Opposition members according to Mr. A. Hamilton (Reform—Wallace), is to criticise proposals put forward by the Government, and the job of the Government is to bring forward measures that are useful for the time being.
