PRESENTED TO PARLIAMENT. DEMAND FOR NEW TRIAL. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON,. July 4. To-day a petition from two solicitors was presented in the House, praying the Executive Council to grant Muftn a new trial (under Section 447 of the Crimes Act) in some place other than Auckland, or a reprieve.
