The doctors say coughs and colds are extraordinarily prevalent in New Zealand this winter, and unfortunately colds are very catching! A great safeguard is to keep your pipe going. Tobacco is la famous preventative of infection. But if you are to keep your p-F e pretty constantly going, i follows hat you must use a tobacco' that can be smoked , freely without satiety or injury to -your health. The imported tobaccos won r t fill the bill. You can’t keep on smoking; them for any length of time. Too full of nicotine for that! After you have had, say, a couple of pipes you’ve had enough for a while. It y s different with the toasted New Zealand tobaccos. They are so pure you cm smoke them for hours at 1 a time. There’s hardly any nicotine m them. That’s because they’re toasted. The toasting makes all tire difference! And for flavour and fragrance they challenge comparison with all other tobaccos. There are only four brands manufactured:— Riverhead Gold, Cavendish, Cut Plug No. 10, and Navy Cut No. 3.
