PLUCKY RESCUE.

INJURED MAN SAVED.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GISBORNE, July 4.

While engaged in loading stock, a watersider, George Gilliam, overbalanced and fell on the rail of the Parera, thence to the water, suffering a broken arm. A plucky rescue was performed by a young man named Marshall, who dived and brought Gilham out on to a papa ledge. The injured man was a non-swimmer. 1
