A DOCTOR'S DISCOVERY.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, June 30.

When the doctor attending a woman suffering from pnuemonia asked to see her husband, he was found sitting in the washhouse with his throat cut and died almost immediately. The man's name was Walter Nathr jnniel Lewis Valentine, aged 51, a carpenter, and it is stated that unemployment* had preyed on his mind. He leaves four children.
