Important developments with regard to the marketing of- New Zealand dairy produce by an amalgamation of interests of . Amalgamated Dairies. and the New Zealand Produce Co-operative .Marketing Association, was foreshadowed at the annual meeting of ; the ! Marketing Association at, Hamilton by.; the; chairman, Mr E. Harding. ~:;. • In answer to a question, Mr Harding said that requests from a number of sources had been put to : the Association to hold a > round-table conference' with Amalgamated Dairies, Ltd., with a view to joitfing their selling forces. The Association had acted on the suggestion and a conference between the two boards had been held that day when certain' proposals were made but were not finalised. The result should be known before the end of the week. ._; Should the proposals be consummated the combined organisation would become the most powerful marketing institution in the Dominion,
