YESTERDAY'S PRICES.

Messrs A. Buckland and Sons, Ltd., report: At Westfield yesterday we penned 321 head of fat cattle (203 steers and 118 cows and hei-» fers) as compared with 399 last week. The entry included many consignments of really prime cattle and there was a steady demand throughout, and last week's values were sustained.
Extra choice ox sold to 38/- per 1001 b; choice and prime, 35/- to 37/-; secondary and plain, 32/- to 34/-; prime cow and heifer beef, 31/- to 33/6"; secondary, 24/to 30/-; extra heavy prime steers ranged in price from £ls/17/6 to £l6/7/6; heavy, £l4/10/- to £ls 15/-; lighter, £l3/5/- to £l4/7/6; light, £l2 to £l3/2/6; small and unfinished, £8 to £ll/17/6; extra heavy prime young cows and'heifers £lO/5/- to £ll/7/6; heavy, £B/15/to £10; lighter, £7 to £B/12/6; other killable cows, £4/5/- to £6/17/6.
