SENTENCES FOR CRIME.
FINE LOT OF BURGLARS.

WELLINGTON, March 7. ■Harry Coronno, Cedric Maitland Gay and Ernest Charles Smith, three young men who had admitted two charges of breaking, ■ entering . and theft, and all of whom had been previously'convicted, were sentenced to three yeras' Borstal yesterday by Mr Justice Blair.
' Albert John Higgs, on similar charges, received two years' Borstal; Ernest Reginald Dd*tt, alias McTavish, on a charge of theft and breaking, entering and theft, 18 months' hard labour. His Honor remarked that Dott had been in New Zealand a few months and his conduct would lead one to believe that he left some other country for a very good reason. Dott robbed a constable who had befriended tain.
Robert Irvine Owens, three charges of breaking, entering and theft and breaking and entering with, in tent to commit a crime, three years' hard labour. Raymond Duhdas Gordon (22),'"whom His Honor remarked seemed to be embarked on a life of crime, three years' hard labour for breaking, entering*arid theft. On a similar charge and a charge of breaking and entering with intent to commit a crime, Alfred Joseph Osborne got three months' hard labour.
