(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NAPIER, Jan. 31.-

A smell of burning caused by a short-circuit in the electrical equipment of a motor-car driven 'by her husband near Puketitiri, 35 miles from Napier, that she jumped from the vehicle before Mr Rea was able to stop it. She sustained injuries from whichi she succumbed in the Napier Hospital.
