Passers-by in Manners Street, 'Wellington during the lunch hour were somewhat alarmed when a tiny grey kitten walked right under the wheels of a tramcar which was just about to move off. None too soon a traffic inspector signalled to the motorman and the kitten was removed to the accompaniment of sighs of relief and to the half-hysterical admonition of a woman, who, with flushed face, exclaimed: “You silly little thing!”
