CIVIC VISIT.

TO NONAGENARIAN

MR. THOMAS DUNN. • AVhen Mr Thomas Dunn, of Sealey Street, celebrated his 99th. birthday yesterday, Mr W. Bongard, Mayor of Thames, accompanied by Mr Henry Lowe, chairman of the Thames County .Council, took the opportunity to pay a visit to his home to tender the congratulations of his fellow citizens on his attaining such a ripe old age.

They found Mr Dunn in good health, and witnessed the cutting of his birthday calce, adorned as if was with 99 candles.

Mr Dunn thanked them for the honour they had done him, and stated that he fully expected to greet them again next year when he would have reached his hundredth anniversary of his birth.
