MOTOR-CYCLIST DIES,

V Arthur Hall (18), was admitted to the hospital badly injured following a heavy fall from his motor-cycle ,on < Sunday, and succumbed last evening' without regaining ; A JOCKEY HURT." Charles Wasley, a jockey, was rid-V; ing Queen's Perry on the Victoria ' Park track last evening, when bis horse stumbled, throwing its rider on: his head. March 26: T David Morgan, a labourer, was rid- ' ing his motor-cycle along Goodwood Road yesterday afternoon, when the machine struck a pot-hole, throwing its rider. ' Morgan was sent to the Dunedin hospital, where he died this morning. SEVERELY BURNED. i » (By Telegraph—Press Association.) GISBORNE, March 27. A youth »who was filling a motor- \ car tank from a 45-gallon drum ofbenzine through a hose last evening used an acetylene lamp to look into : the tank, with the result that in a few minutes the car was a mass of flames. In attempting to turn off the tap the owner of the car, Mr C. Randall, was splashed with benzine, which caught fire. .He was removed in an unconscious state to the hospital, where he was reported to be in a serious condition. The fire brigade was called out and soon after its arrival the benzine tank exploded, causing consternation among the crowd which had gathered. One motorist, in his hurry to leave, reversed gear and knocked down a | small boy. The latter's injuries, however, are believed to be not serious. BOY'S BODY FOUND. INVERCARGILL, Mar. 27, The body of Robert Duff, a schoolboy, who had been missing since lastThursday, was found yesterday in the Makerewa River.
