WARNING TO CHILDREN.
A SIGN DAMAGED. FATHER ORDERED TO PAY. A young boy appeared at the Children's Court this morning, charged with damaging a "No Parking" sign in Pollen Street, belonging, to the Thames Borough Council. Evidence was given that some six of these signs had been smashed, and the boy was seen to damage one. The case was brought as a warning to others, and no penalty was pressed for. The boy was severely admonished by the Magistrate and discharged, his father being ordered to pay 12/6, the amount of the damage.
