ALONE AT HOME. A FIERCE STRUGGLE. Ronald Anderson, a schoolboy, had a. sensational encounter with a thief at his home, Murnverie Road. North Bondi, Sydney. While doing his homework Anderson. who is the son of Air. Philip Anderson, heard a. noise in the front of the house. Being the only one at home, lie went to investigate, and saw a man ransacking th.e„sideboard in the dining-room. Young Anderson tailed out, and, picking up a chair, attempted to strike the intruder. The hitter knocked the c hair out ol the lad’s hand and seized him by the throat Anderson shouted lor help, and Air. Egan, who lives next door, ran to his assistance. The thief rushed from the house, and, scaling the back fence, disappeared in the darkness. He left a bundle of goods which he had packed ready for removal.
