“TIMES” SQUARE, NEW YORK, TAKEN ' FROM “TIMES” BUILDING. it was in the sub-way immediately under this part that the recent accident happened. This is the heart o,f the Theatre district, and one of the busiest centres of New York. This portion was thrown in confusion as a result of the accident, and was barricaded by the police for some time. The latest cablegrams state that 16 persons were killed and 100 injured.^
