THE CRUCIAL TEST.

BOTH TEAMS CHOSEN. CHANGES IN EACH SIDE.. NICHOLLS AND LUCAS IN. (Exclusive to “Thames Star.”) CAPETOWN, Aug. 31. Intense interest is being taken in the fourth test match, All Blacks v. South Africa, on Saturday. Crowds of people are arriving at Capetown from all .parts of the Union. There was much comment when the teams were announced as follows: SPRINGBOKS.

Fullback. —Tindall. Threequarters.—Van Niekerk, Rousseau, Van der Westhuizen, Morkel. Halves.—Bennie Osier, de Villiers. Forwards.—Mostert, Daneel, Van Druten, Louw, Du Toit, Prfetorious, Oliver, Nel. It is a surprise to find that two new wings in Van Niekerk and Morkel have been included. Neither played in the other tests. They played against the All Blacks for the first time last Saturday. It was Morkel who scored Western Province’s only try. The Springbok pack has not 'been changed. The inside backs are the same as those in the third test. ALL BLACKS. Full-back:

Wing-forward

The local newspapers now give thie All Blacks more hope of winning. They contend that their attack has been considerably livened up with the inclusion of Nicholls and Lucas. Writers remark that it is all a question of getting the ball. If the All Blacks' forwards can do that, Nicholls and Lucas should turn out to be match winners: The referee is Mr V. H. Nesen (who acted in the same capacity in the other three tsts). A record crowd is expected for the Newlands ground.
