SEVERAL RECOMMENDATIONS,

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, June 11. The Council of Education resolved that Education Boards be given discretionary power in the matter of employment of married women teachers. It decided to advise the Minister of Education to a introduce legislation to prevent the exploitation for profit of children. The Council also decided on a series of recommendations, including a standard scheme of control of secondary schools, the teaching of music and art, terms and holidays for next year, payment of subsidies, training of teachers and extension of classes for retardates.
