NEW HIGH SCHOOL.

OPENED AT FOXTON. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) FOXTON, March 29. The Minister of Education officially opened a new building to accommodate secondary pupils of the Foxton District High School yesterday, bet ore a large assemblage. The building! is erected on land adjoining the school, and is the gift of the daughters or the late Maori chief, Ihakasa Tukumaru. Speeches wore made by the Mayor, the' chairman and the members of the Education Board. Mr. Linklater, M.P., and representatives of the district schools and the Hon. MacMillan, on behalf of the Maoris. Hie Minister was presented with a gold inscribed key by Mrs. J. K. Hornblow, wife of the chairman., on behalf or the committee. The. building is constructed of brick., well ventilated and lighted .on modern lines.
