MINISTERIAL VISIT.
HON. K. S. WILLIAMS. TOUR OF PENINSULA. DEPUTATIONS IN PLENTY. Word has been received that the Hon. K. S. Williams, Minister of Public Works, will arrive at Thames about 6 p.m. to-day. He will be accommodated at the Royal Hotel. During the evening a deputation will wait on the Minister "concerning the proposed Thames-Hikuai; connection. His Worship the Mayor (Mr W. Bongard) will speak on behalf of the Borough, Dr Liggins on behalf of the Chamber of "Commerce, Mr F. H. Claxton for the Fisheries, and Messrs Devcich Bros, concerning the farming interests in the Kauaeranga. It .is possible that grazing interests- will also be represented.
