SOCCER.
THAMES VALLEY CLUBS. The annual meeting of the Thames Valley Football Association was held in Paeroa on Friday evening, the president (Air. D. Lewis) presiding. Delegates were present from Waihi, Te Aroha, Waihou, and Kerepeehi. The annual report showed that three competitions were played during the past season. The Waihou team won the South Auckland championship and the Goldfiekls Association Cud. The D.C.L. Cup was won by Waihi. The secretary reported the loss by fire of the Goldfiekls Cup. It, was replaced by members of the Waihou Club. The balance-sheet showed a small credit balance.
Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows: —Patron, Air. D. Rogers (Kerepeehi) ; president, Air. D. Lewis (Waihou); secretary and treasurer, Mr. C. Callender (Kerepeehi); committee, delegates "from various clubs.
The opening day was fixed as April 14. when the Waihi and Waihou teams will meet at Waihou. Efforts are being made to get the Thames players to join no with the association.
