GENEROUS DONATIONS. TO CRICKET AND RUGBY. BY MR. ERIC RIDDIFORD. (By Telegraph.—Presss Association.) WELLINGTON, Feb. 28. Mr Eric Riddiford has donated £250 each to the Wellington Cricket Association and to the interests of Rugby in Wellington. The Cricket Association has earmarked the amount for the provision of an up-to-date score boaxd at the Basin Reserve, which Mr Riddiford approves. It is understood the Rugby donation goes to the fund for the erection of a new stand at Athletic Park.
