ON SIR HENRY BRETT,

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND. Dec. 4.

At a reception at Government House last night, the Governor-General presented to Sir Henry Brett letters patent of Knighthood Bachelor conferred on him by HAT. the King on January Ist, in recognition of his valuable public services extending for a period of over 50 years. His Excellency also presented Major Alfred Thomas Daw, of the Colonial Auxiliary Forces, with an officers’ decoration for his long and meritorious service with the military forces.
