TWO COMPLEXION HINTS.
FOR. A WOMAN WHO CARES FOR APPEARANCE. Tlie woman who is really anxious to preserve tfm freshness of her com- j plexion should always carry two pow- . der pull's \Vhen on a day's shopping, j travelling or motoring. One of these puffs should be well rubbecl in touet | oatmeal, and the other in the powder ! generally used. Before applying the usual powder 1 she should rub her face over with the j oatmeal puff to remove' the “shine” • and any dust which may have settled on the face. Oatmeal softens and j whitens the skin, and is a good j cleanser, removing grime almost as ' well as ordinary cleansing cream. After cleansing the face with the oatmeal, the ordinary powder puff is dusted over the face, which not only looks 1 but feels, delightfully fresh and clean. To apply powder to a shiny, grimy face makes tlie skin coarse and encourages open pores and blackheads. To whiten a. sallow or discoloured skin, take a gill of sour milk and add to it a drou at a time, ten drops of simple tincture of benzoin. Beat to-, gether and put into a little jar. After, cleansing the face at night, massage a little of the milk into the skin. The addition of the benzoin gives a slight perfume to the milk and entirely obliterates the unpleasant odour of the sour milk. This is both a bleach, and an astringent, and is most beneficial in the case of dull and sallow skins. It should be used regularly every night for six j weeks at least to effect a real ini' i provement. }
USE, ONLY REXONA SOAP. LIGHTNING EFFECTS. You get the beneficial effect of Dr Sheldon’s New Discovery the instant you take the first dose. It soothes the raw and tender throat, protects it from cold germs, and clears the head. There’s nothing like it for preventing colds from fastening upon you. It “knocks” the germ—clears the throat—stops the tickle. —(Advt.)
