THE KIKG’S -BABY CONTEST FINALS. Tom Moore in a splendid “crook” story entitled “Beating The Game,” together with a new supporting programme, and Jackie Coogan in “Daddy” (repeated by special request) which will be screened at 9.30 p.m. Tlie finals of the “Baby Beauty Competition” will also be included in tho programme, and the Champion Babies numbering:— l, S. 12. 19, 21, 24, 28, 29, 30, 39, 42. 44. w ; !i compete in this one last fight for fame. There are a lew regulations in connection with tho finals of the competition which , will help to make it more fair. It has been decided that in order that the babies who competed in the fast heat are placed on an equal footing with those in the first ‘heat’ no voting papers received, or held by patrons, from other ‘heats’ will be of use in the final. New voting papers wilt bo issued, only to those who ask for them at tho ticket box. (This obviates disinterested persons dropping papers on the floor in the Theatre from whence they are picked up and an unfair advantage gamed by the finder.) All voting papers must be signed by voter. Tho 'rotes on Monday and Tuesday next, will be counted by the staff of' a wellknown firm of local Public Accountants. Results will appear in to-mor-row's ".Star.”

QUEEN’S THEATRE. The Queen’s Theatre was well filled on Saturday evening, the attraction being Win. 1). Mfiles'’ production “Tho w orkl’s Applause.” featuring Beho Daniels. A story of a beautiful dancer who risked everything in her mad passion for notoriety, who thought tho ‘Jazz-trail’ led to fame. Also starring is a 2 reel comedy, and Paramount -Magazine. To-morrow night Frank -Mayo will be seen in “Out of T ,, 0 Silent North.” A tale of tho Camad-* inn North, where trees and men grow straight. Also Harold Lloyd in & special comedy, “I Do.”
