PUBLIC NOTICE. COUNTY OF HAURAKI PLAINS. NOTICE OF INTENTION TO BORROW. Loan of £4520 for the Construction of a Bitumen Road in the TuruaOrongo Road Loan Special Rating Area. , . NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN:— 1. That it is the intention of the Hauraki Plains County Council, under the provisions of “The Counties Act, 1920,” “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913, w and amendments thereof respectively, and all other Acts, if any, it in that behalf enabling to borrow the sum of £4,520 fcfr the following purposes: — £ (a) Improving, metalling and laying down as a Bitumen Road, the Turua-Orongo Road from the Northern Boundary of the Turua Town District northwards towards the Orongo Estate,, a distance of approximately 125 Chains 4,180 (b) For the payment of tie first year’s interest and sinking fund and preliminary expenses .. .. 340 £4,520 2. That as security for the payment of interest, sinking fund and other charges on the said loan, it is the intention of the said Council to make and levy a special Rate ol five pence -in the £ upon the rateable value (unimproved) of all rateable property in the Turua-Orongo Road Loan Special Rating Area hereinafter described. 3. That it is the intention of the said Council to pay out of the Loan the cost of raising the Loan and the interest and sinking fund for the first year. 4. The Loan is for a period of 364 years at such rate of interest not exceeding so much as may be authorised under- -Section 11 of the Finance Act, 1921, together with an additional charge to provide the necessary sinkiug fund. The boundaries of the said special rating area are as follows: Commencing at a point in the Eastern Boundary of the County opposite the Southern boundary of Section 358 of the Orongo Estate, Block VII, Thames Survey District, thence bounded towards the North by a line proceeding in a westerly direction along the Southern boundary of Orongo Estate, and thence in a north-westerly direction along the Western boundary of the said Orongo Estate to the north-western boundary of Lot 3 on D.P. 9708 of Part Ngata-ipua, 181, and East 2a and Pirau West Section 2 and Wharetoa Block, and thence along the said north-western boundary of the said Lot 3; thence bounded towards the west by a line proceeding in a south-easterly direction along the south-western boundaries of Lots 3 and 4 on the said D.P. 9708, thence along the western boundaries of Ngataipua East 2E Block, Te Awamahanga B Block, Kaipapaka Block, and to a point in the western boundary of Oparia No. 1 Block 10 chaina 50 links north of the Southern boundary of the said Oparia No'. 1 Block; thence bounded towards the south by a line proceeding in an easterly direction by a right line to the north-western corner of the Turua Town District in the said Oparia No. 1 Block, and thence along the northern boundary of the Turua Town District to the Waihou River; and thence bounded towards the east by a line proceeding in a northerly direction by the eastern boundary of the County to the point of commencement.
