NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE AND LEVY RATES . Notice is hereby given that the Hauraki Drainage Board will at its meeting to be held at Turua on Friday Vhe 28th day of September 1923 at 11 a.m. make and levy under Secions 31,32 and 33 of the Land Drainage Act ,1908 and the Amendments thereto and Rating Act 1908 and the Amendment thereto the following several rates for the period of one year commencing on the Ist day of April 1923 and ending on the 31st day of March 1924, namely:— Upon ail lands Classified as “A” in the classification made by the Board of the Rateable property within its district a rate of 15/Bths of a penny in the £ in the Northern Area, a Rate of 16/18ths of a penny in the £in the Turua and Central Areas, a rate of 14/Bths of of a penny in the £ in the Te Kauri Ai’ea and a Rate of 11/Bths of a a penny in the £ in the Area on the Unimproved value of such Lands.
Upon all Lands Classified as “B’ in the said classification a Rate of 13/Btlis of a penny in the £ in the Northern Area, 14/Bths of a penny in the £ in the Turua and Central Areas, 12/Btbs of a penny in the£ in the Te Kauri Area, and 9/Sths of a penny in the £ in the Monganui Area on the Unimproved value of such Lands. Upon all Lands Classified as “C” in the said classification a Rate of 11/Bths of a penny in the £ in the Northern Area, 12/Bths of a penny in the £ in the Turua and Central Areas, 10/Bths of a penny in the £ in the Te Kauri Area, and 7/Bths of a penny on the £ in the Monganui Area on the Unimproved value of such Lands. Notice is also given that the Valuation Roll Ratepayers list and Rate Book are open for inspection at the office of the Board Turua Buildings Turua during office hours. Notice is also given that it is the intention of the Board to collect with the above mentioned Rates the special Rates on the No 1 and No 2 Special Drainage Loans each of £5,000.
