THE FREE STATE.
ELECTION ON MONDAY. (A. and N.Z. Cable). LONDON, Aug. 24. Polling Day in the Free State elections has been fixed for Monday which has been declared a holiday. All parties are feverishly active and confident. Mrs. De Valera has sent to Mr. Cosgrave peremptory remand for information regarding De Valera’s present whereabouts. It is now announced that Mr. Cosgrave will personally head a delegation to the League of Nations seeking steps for admission.
