Some of the Wanganui retailers are becoming anxious owing to the dockers’ strike at Home, as to whether certain lines ordered! months ago to be here well in time for the Christmas trade, will come to hand (states the Herald). Previous experience of strikes at Home has shown that early ordered goods are put into thei sheds,, and later orders come to hand first, and it is reasonable now to expect a repetition. In this case a number of sports goods majbe late in arriving. Certain American lines ordered to be here in time for spring are also late in coming to hand.
