SNOW IN CHRISTCHURCH. (Press Association). CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 20. After a perfect week for the Grand National meeting, the weather broke after midnight on Sunday, and the city was covered with snow. At seven o’clock there was an immediate thaw owing to the hijh southerly wind, and the weather towrads mid-day was much clearer.
