U WHITE HORSE TOURNAMENT. (Press Association.) AUCKLAND, July 25. The White Horse Cup hockey tournament was continued yesterday, with the weather fine and the grounds hardened, although the bumpy surface jpade it difficult for the ball to be, easily Happed. Three keenly-contested games were decided, the play being exciting in each match. The holders of the Cup (Rodney) defeated Franklin by 2 goals to 0; the winners had the better of a good game, the features of which were fine work by the Rodney forwards and fullbacks, and the Franklin fullbacks. Rodney played more finished hockey. Piako drew with Whangarei, 3 goals each. Mangawai-Albertland drew with Thames with a similar good tally.
The position of the teams is: —• Rodney, 4 points, Piako 2, Franklin 2, Mangawai - Albertland 1 Thames 1, Whangarei 1.
