WONDERFUL AIRSHIPS.
SHORTENING JOURNEYS. (A. and N.Z. C/iblo.> LONDON July, 22. The Burney airships will be employed in the sendees to Lidia and Australia. Huge machines of a new pattern, capable of carrying 150 passengers at an average speed of 80 miles will be able to make a continuous flight of more than five days. The first should be built within eight months and the first •stage will be to India bringing it within 6S hours of London and short ening the delivery of Australian mails by 10 days. Egypt will be reached in 31 hours. The machines will have a capacity of five million cubic feet. There will be single berth sleeping cabins for all passengers each with a separate entrance from the keel gangway. The saloon will accommodate 60 and the dining room half the comple ment.
