SOLSCITOR’S APPLICATION. EFFECT OF ACCOUNTANT’S DEFALCATIONS. AUCKLAND, April 27. (Press Association.) The Court of Appeal heard argument this morning in the case of an application by the Auckland District Law Society to strike off the rolls' of barristers and solicitors Archibald. Lyon Dennison of Auckland. The ground of the application was an allegation that a judgment had been obtained against Dennison in. fi the Magistrate’s Court for £153 7s Id such sum being trust money received By Dennison on behn lf of a. client and that such money had not been paid over to that client. Mr. Yon Hurst, who appeared for the Law Society said it was clear that Dennison not kept in his trust account the proper amount to meet the liability of £'ls3 7s Id Mr. Johnston fot; Dennison said his client’s position was due to the defalcations of his accountant. The application was adjourned till to-mom>w.
The application of J. E. Barltrop, of Feilding, was further adjourned.
