PLUNKET SHIELD. CANTERBURY v. WELLINGTON. (Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 28. In the Plunket Shield match Canterbury, in the second innings, made 432, leaving Wellington 288 to get to win. At the close of the day’s play Wellington had lost seven wickets for 161 (Hiddleston 30, Baker 23. Kortlang 21, Collins, not out, 47, Hutchings, not out, 16.) JUNIOR MATCH.
College Old Boys and High School met on Saturday on the school ground and after a good game C. 0.8. scored a three-point win. Batting first they made 50. J. Dodd contributing 24. Wooller took five wickets for 16 runs and Gorzey 3 for 11. School replied with 58 (Gorbey 16, Wayne 13, Baker 10). Lockett and Morrissey shared the 'bowling honours each taking four wickets. In their second innings C. 0.8. made 104 (Pratt 31, Lockett 33, Martin 16). Dodd and Buchan were the most successful School bowders. In their second innings School failed and were all out for 25, Lockett, Dodd and Pratt taking the wickets.
