One mile. WEIGHTS for the First Day’s Events will appear on or about MONDAY, January 29th, 1923. ACCEPTANCES for First Day’s Events'will be received up to 5 p.m. on FRIDAY, February 9th, 1923, by the Secretary or Mr R. Wynyard, at the above addresses. WEIGHTS for the Second Day’s Events will be declared at THAMES at the Office of the Club, Albert Street, on SATURDAY, February 17th, 1923. at 8 p.m. ACCEPTANCES for the Second Day’s Events will close at the Club’s Office at 10 p.m. on the SAME NIGHT. PENALTIES. The winner of any race after the declaration of weights may be rehandicapped by the Handicapper. Owners are responsible for all penalties. OWNERS AND TRAINERS PLEASE NOTE. ’All Entries and Acceptances must be accompanied by necessary payments, and in case of entries, must state name and address of Owner, name, age at time of entry, and pedigree of horse, name of trainer, and registered colours of owner. Entries and acceptances made by telegram or telephone must be confirmed in writing by first mail, with full particulars and necessary payments; otherwise the fines, as provided in the New Zealand Rules of Racing, will be rigidly enforced.
