Mr. Jamei of Dunedin, has join- , ed the staff of the Thames High School.
Mr Arthur, station-master at Thames, left to-day on his annual vacation. >
Mr Jenks, of the railway relieving staff, is in Thames, staying at the Park Hotel. He will have charge at Thames station during Mr Arthur’s absence.
Messrs. W. C.- Kelly and F. Sawyer, of Thames, are at present in Wellington attending,/* meeting Of representatives of the gold producers of the Dominion. * j w Mr. F. E. Powell, consulting engineer to the Thames County Council, is at present in Thames. Mr. E. 0. Nash, secretary of the Te Aroha Jockey Club, is at pre* sent seriously indisposed. Mr. M. Myers, who has * been sworn in as King’s Counsel, is the first barrister appointed K. 0., under the new law which bars practice as a solicitor. He has severed 1 his connections with the firm of Messrs. Bell, Gully, Myers, and O’Leary, ' with which he nas been connected for nearly .30 years. Mr.
