MAN’S INSANE ACT

NEW YORK, July 31
During Mass in- St. Patrick’s Cathedral, New York, a man rose among the kneeling congregation, and slashed himself with a knife. He then rushed to the altar and offered himself to the priest as a. human. sacrifice.
Father Daly, the celebrant, calmed the man, who was removed to a hospital. Hia injuries probably will prove fatal.
