ALLEGED MURDER.
PROCEEDINGS REMANDED.
SIXTH APPLICATION Associations
WANGANUI, July 13,
A good deal of indignation has been shown locally at the constant remands asked for by the prosecution in 'the charge of murder against Louis Taldy. The sixth remand was granted this morning, owing to the Government analysistfs report on the clothing sent for examination not being complete. Mr. W. J. Treadwell, for the accused , commented strongly on the delay, and the suspense to the accused.
The Magistrate, Mr. Hollings, agreed that a man should not be held indefinitely in custody with a serious charge hanging over his head.
