The Supreme Court, in the case against Thomas Fearon, charged with theft of money from Alfred McGuire, at the Soldiers’ Club, rejected counsel’s appeal against the. treatment'of witness as hostile, but granted leave to move for a new trial on the ground that the verdict of guilty was against the weight of evidence.
