ON WEST .COAST. (P ress Association.) GREYMOUTH, Feb 18. Captain Pearson,, of the steamer Qrepuki, which arrived from' Wellihg'•ton reported that he sighted the Valniarie ashore, head on to the beach, about nine miles west of The Spit lighthouse. The crew were .eamp&d ashore in tents.

In answer to signals offering assistance of a tow they signalled, that the vessel was too hard and fast at that state of the tide, but w 7 ould probably re-float with the rising spring tides.
