Archdeacon and Mrs. Cowie and family have returned to Hamilton, after a holiday spent at the Coast.
Miss Nora Mountain is paying a short holiday visit to Auckland. Miss F. Adams, who has been staying at Thames, has returned to Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. Wm, Morton have returned to Thames.
Miss A. Norris, who has been on a holiday visit to her sister,. Mrs A. Brokenshire, has left for her home in Christchurch.
Miss N. Tonge has returned to Thames after a holiday to Gisborne and Napier. Mrs. Clendon and Miss Marie Clendon have returned to Thames from a brief visit ito Auckland.
Mrs. Norman Wright, who has been spending a holiday at Thames, has left for Wellington. , Mrs. Adam Wilson, who has been on a short holiday visit to Auckland, has returned to Thames.
Miss Ida Lundon, who has been staying for a few days with Mrs. G. Steedman, Hape Road, has returned to Cambridge.
Mrs. T. J. Mountain,' who has been visiting Auckland has returned home. -Miss Edna Trimmer ■ (Matakohe), who has been spending a few days in-Thames, has left for Tauranga, where she has been appointed to the staff of the District High School.
Miss Edme Walker has returned from a visit to Auckland, and is staying with her sister, Mrs. C. Read, at the Coast.
The engagement is announced in Christchurch of- Miss Majorie Pritchett, second daughter of the Rev. P. H. and Mrs. Pritchett, Edinburgh Street, Rieearton, to Mr. Norman Haszard, second son of Mr. H. D. Haszard, late Commissioner of Crown Lands, and formerly of Thames.
