FIGURES FOR THE YEAR.
A CONSIDERABLE INCREASE
The vital statistics for the year 1921 show a general increase over the figures for the previous year. There was a considerable increase in the number of births as compared with the year 1920, while the death rate increased by one. The figures given show births foi 1921 itiotalling 238, as against 217 for the year 1920, an increase of 2l The marriages also show an increase, the number married during 1921 being 75, as compared with G 7 for the previous year, an increase of 8.
‘ The deaths do not, however, show such a large increase, and the figures are still under the hundred. Deaths for the year 1921 totalled 99, the number for the corresponding period the previous year being 98, an increase of on©. v - -. G'
