FOUR SHOPS DESTROYED

A fire, shortly after .midnight, gutted four shops, the property of Henry Doreen in Main Street, occupied by Gray (butcher), Ricketts (tobacconist), Wong Shunii (fruiterer), and Joo Lee (laundry). The contents were destroyed, and the oecupantis arc heavy losers.
